What if your first draft was ready before you left the meeting?

Fabbro & Partners is a boutique litigation and commercial law firm based in Geneva with seven lawyers and two paralegals. Like many Swiss firms of its size, it operates in three languages — French, German, and English — and handles a high volume of correspondence, pleadings, and client documentation.

Partner Stefano Fabbro agreed to share, in detail, how the firm integrated Whisperit over a four-month period and what the measurable outcomes were.

The problem: time in the wrong places

'We were spending a disproportionate amount of associate time on first-draft production,' Fabbro explains. 'A complex letter that should take 20 minutes was taking 45, because the associate was writing from scratch, reviewing, and then I was revising. The loop was too long.'

The firm had tried two previous dictation tools. Both required extensive training and neither handled multilingual content reliably. They had been abandoned after a few months.

Implementation: what actually worked

The firm rolled out Whisperit in three phases. First, partners only — using it for internal notes and first drafts of correspondence. Second, associates were onboarded for document drafting. Third, the team integrated Whisperit with their document management system for template-based drafting.

'The onboarding took less than a day,' Fabbro says. 'There was no training required — the model already understood our vocabulary. The first time I dictated a letter in French and it came back correctly formatted, I realised this was different from what we'd tried before.'

The numbers after four months

After four months of consistent use across the team, the firm tracked the following outcomes:

  • Average drafting time for standard correspondence: down 58%
  • Partner revision time per document: down 40% (cleaner first drafts)
  • Associate billable hours recaptured per week: approximately 6 hours per associate
  • Client-facing turnaround on urgent correspondence: improved from same-day to within-two-hours

What surprised them

'What surprised me most was the quality improvement, not just the speed,' Fabbro reflects. 'When you dictate, you think out loud. The structure of a letter dictated directly is often better than one written slowly. We expected to save time. We didn't expect the output to be better.'

The firm has since expanded its use of Whisperit to include meeting notes, case summaries, and client briefings. Fabbro estimates total time savings across the team at approximately 15 hours per week.
